Hi, I'm thrilled you stopped in and hope you're enjoying yourself. A great deal of my life is similar to others'. What might set me apart from you is the number of times my family moved while I was young. That mobility bred a desire to see and experience more new places. I eventually learned to be careful what you wish for, because once I married, my husband's career often carried us across the country. We've lived in Colorado for a few years, now, but you can bet that when he finally retires, we'll be off again, searching out the exciting and new, as well as visiting all our friends we left scattered across the United States, some as far north as Alaska or east into Puerto Rico.
My childhood shyness made it hard for me to develop new friendships each time we moved. I turned to our pets and books for companionship. The succession of family cats, dogs, and horses listened as I read. At least, that's what I pretended, rewarding their patience with pats or treats they undoubtedly waited upon rather than the biographical or fictional discoveries I shared with them.
Ever changing environments and schools--thirteen in twelve years--taught me "home" isn't necessarily defined by a location or the length of time spent there; it can be a state of mind nurtured by those who love each other. I believe that conviction flavors the stories I write.

When our two children reached their teen years, I seized the time to pursue interests of my own. A need to send characters along paths I thought essential to the stories I was reading convinced me to take extension courses in creative writing. My teachers, DeWanna Pace and Jodi Thomas, introduced me to Romance Writers of America. Soon thereafter, I joined one of its chapters, Yellow Rose, a local organization for me at that time. I quickly realized my imagination suited romantic suspense and joined the specialty chapter Kiss of Death. Those organizations' workshops, online classes, conferences, and contests (initially as an entrant, then as a judge) helped me improve my craft and create characters driven to danger.
I hope my stories of murder, betrayal and redemption produce that Ahhh factor readers desire and that you'll enjoy the books offered within my website.
